Aquafox glass rinsing system
In Dutch pubs it is customary that the tap of the bar sink runs constantly. That amounts to roughly 1000 litres of water a day. To counter this spillage, a new rinse system is developed: Aquafox. Aquafox is a new, revolutionary, autonomous rinse system. Sensors in the sink measure the number of glasses rinsed. If a threshold of rinsed glasses is reached, the system adds fresh water with the proper amount of soap. The Aquafox system saves water up to 80%. That is a whole swimming pool each month, per bar sink!
BPO provided the technical support and coordination during the realisation of this complex product. In a short period, this hi-potential concept evolved into a working pilot series. Several elements and subsystems were developed by BPO; suppliers were selected and the pilot series were tested. BPO, also supported the software programmers and electronic suppliers. This ingenious system consists of a visible blue faucet and several secluded modules, conduits and a soap dispenser.
The aquafox system was launched early January on the Dutch fair for hotels, restaurants and bars: “Horecava”. At present, the pilot series is tested at over a 100 locations. The first group of enthusiastic users is being introduced to enormous savings in water usage. Mean while, BPO in cooperation with its client is preparing the system for mass production.
