In close corporation with the designer Frans de la Haye and the development department of Koninklijke Ahrend NV, BPO has completed the entire engineering of the A250 office chair.

During the development, BPO has intertwined FEM analyses with CAD engineering to create a chair that lived up to the high demands of Ahrend, without losing the elegant shapes according to the design by Frans de la Haye.

The A250 office chair is the modern successor to the Centennial office chair that Ahrend introduced successfully in 1996. All the different skills and knowledge present at BPO were put to use. All shapes, functions and mechanical solutions were realised by BPO through the integrated use of structural analyses and CAD.

Frans de la Haye stated:
“Nothing has been lost between my original idea and the final realisation of the chair.”
