Is your design nearly finished, but you need the product to be lighter and cheaper? You want to obtain optimal mold flow parameters, or the first parts out of tool are not satisfying...
Even after the first products are ready, quality can be improved by making slight enhancements. In almost any scenario, the use of mold flow and structural analysis can help to foster improvements, even if the CAD files are already sent to the toolmaker.
BPO increases performance, reduces unit cost and helps your design to become a more successful product.
By using the best tools available, BPO’s engineers provide you with detailed and reliable answers to the most complicated questions.
Structural analyses are done with MSC.MARC. The relative open structure of the software enables BPO to do detailed FEM (Finite Element Method) analyses of the most complex load cases.
When appropriate, BPO simulates non-linear material behaviour of plastics and metals (steel, aluminium, Zamac), large displacement and deformation effects, multiple zone contact problems and structural dynamics. These advanced simulation techniques are used to analyse e.g. creep of plastics, deformation during assembly or dropping of complete Europallets. BPO does not hesitate to program its own subroutines in order to achieve more accurate results in a shorter time.
BPO also uses Optistruct. With this advanced software, products and mechanisms can be optimised automatically. It is especially useful for single products which have to be optimised for several different load cases. Typical examples are hinges, joints or struts.
